Hi Andy,
Welcome to IMOC and the world of the Mk1.
I used Escort Mk3 sills for mine. They needed a little bit of a bend to fit the bottom edge to the car but were only £17 each.
The rear arch panels, sill return piece and bottom rear corners I got from a guy on ebay (user name, littlebird).
They are great quality and well worth the price as they fit exactly.
The skirt clips I think you mean can always be got from cars being broken on ebay but you will find the guys on here generaly have a lot of spares that they will sell you or sometimes even give you.
Thats the kind of community you have joind.
Hope your love afair with your car is a long and happy one and that you stay and chat with us crazy lot here on here.
Post some pics of you car up so we can have a look.
Bod.

Hi Andy,
That is a proper smart looking example. I like the Mk3 wheels look.
I was 12 when the Mk1 came out and I to saw one and thought that I would always have one. I did it the hard way though and bought a proper shed like example when I was 32 with the idea of doing a rebuild. Five years on it is all done but now due to penny issues I can't afford the MOT, Insurance & tax. Still thats life,------ one day soon maybe.
Any way I'll give Paul Woods at Woodsport and Jinxy a PM to see if they have any clips spare.

The clips are available from toyota, and sometimes cheaper than some of the suppliers
Re: plastic body clips

Was that car from a chap in Leeds by any chance? Think I saw that car last year when I went to buy a few parts off him, Graham I think his name was?

Andy,

Oi, get your car out of my driveway Andy! Glad you're enjoying it - no one called it gorgeous when I had it Probably because it spent most of its life in the garage (keeping dry, not being fixed!) Surprised about the sills though, sailed through the last MOT bodywork/structural wise and was kept garaged until you bought it a month or so back.

Re: plastic body clips
Forgot to add...the paint code is on the VIN plate..on the bulkhead in the frunk. check out http://www.toyotareference.com/mr2#MR for a list of standard paintcodes. Might be a case of taking off the fuel cap for a match??
Re: plastic body clips
The car was originally Mica Blue which you can still see inside the frunk and engine bay. It was apparently resprayed approximately 3 years before I bought it (which would make it around 2005) but the previous owner did not have any details of the respray as it was done before he bought it.
Having owned a Mk2 Caribbean Blue MR2 a while back, it looks very similar in colour, maybe they stuck to toyota colours? If you take a look at the picture below which I took back in 2008 it certainly looks similar to Caribbean Blue (8B6 I believe). Other than that, taking the fuel flap to a paint shop would probably be your best bet. And yes, with the colour coded door handles and wing mirrors and lack of pinstripe/side mouding it certainly looks more modern!
