Right on my Acer Aspire 5610 laptop, about 3 years old, 80gb hard drive, Im running out of memory on my hard drive and cant find out why?
My main source is my C: drive, but thats got no music, movies or pictures on it, but its nearing its limit of 35gb, I've looked but cant find any big files that would be clogging it up?
I only use this for internet browsing, and music (About 20gb on my D: drive), I dont do word processing, or use it for work of any kind?
I deleted loads of programs, yet I still got loads of stuff on it?
What is this likely to be? Any tips on how to get rid of unwanted things?
Im a compter gimp so be gentle

Do a disk cleanup and defrag.
Re: Wheres my memory gone?
Just been looking again....
In my docs & settings, I have 5gb taken up, which is probably ok, and I got a folder on my C: drive named 'WINDOWS' which seems to have a lot of system type files, which has taken 14.5gb Im guessing thats not normal?

Re: Wheres my memory gone?
Important distinction - you are running short of disk space, not memory. Common mistake but rather an important one
The good news is that you can do loads of things to recover disk space.
What OS are you using? Do you have lots of space on your D: drive partition? You can change the partition sizes to give more to C:

OS is Windows XP, I've been storing my musics and videos on my D: drive, but I just bought a Terrabyte external HD that I plan on transferring everything to.
I have AVG, I deleted Norton as it was crap!
