I've been in the beta - to get decent performance out of it, you'll need a pretty up-together rig and some decent broadband. Other than that, the core mechanic is pretty cool

Hmmm, I sometimes play the beta on my laptop which as AMD chip and ATi video card and it does fine. A bit laggy @ crowded areas but most of the time acceptable.

anybody actually played this yet?

I only had a chance to try it out for a few hours but it looks pretty complicated (mind you I was a bit drunk tho )

However, I see a lot of spammers and griefers around. I also had to manually open a few ports before I can actually play (never had this problem with any games before).

Overall not a very enjoyable experience yet but I will give it a few hours to see. Doesn't seem worth the montly subscription atm to me

PROS :
1) I like how everything is very customisable and I mean EVERYTHING
2) GTA-esque playstyle combined with some nifty FPS play too
3) Nice graphics

CONS :
1) Spammers, griefers and cheaters running amok - almost no ingame policing report button doesn't work
2) Seems pretty complicated with so many options and things to pick up
3) Also seems that the game would be dominated by clans. Pretty hard to do anything solo once you level up a bit.
4) This is a tiny niggle but I spent hours customising my toon and she looks different in game! Shoulda went with a comic char like Ronald McDonald or something...

Reading on the overclockers forums (pc games) this has had nothing but negative reviews, I did fancy picking it up as its not a bad price for a new release but there's so much negativity going around about the game that I've avoided it, be interested to here what you guys think!! (those who have it ofc)

well... played it for couple days now. It does have potential but too many bugs and also cheaters...

I heard unless RTW does something, this game is Set Sail for Fail!

Really dissapointing now. If you can avoid cheaters and hackers then you will just get nailed down by clans. There's no chance of a proper solo play.

No end game content and you basically run around doing the same thing!

Does anyone even play this? Seemed very hyped up before launch but playing it for a week or so and I am getting bored of the repetitive grinding.
