My first Mr2 & loving it

Post by reddev1ll09 »

Hi all fellow imocer's, some of you will already know of me through posting on the forum. I have been a member for :-k about 6 months now but never got round to this part, well it's done now better late than never i say
I have been an avid fan/lover of the Mr Two (what we call them in my part of Glasgow) ever since i was a young boy (Mk1 days, mid 80's) then when i seen a Mk2 in the flesh for the first time probably 94/95 I think, I said to myself 'i will own one of those one day' & here i am roughly 15yrs later with my very own 1990 Rev1 3S-GE Auto, in one of the best colours (IMHO) 742 Aquamarine Pearl (I thought it was Goodwood Green but i stand corrected G/G is 'Rev3') =P~ I have seen a few 2's this colour now & looking very, very nice indeed. It's just a pity my body/paint has seen better days, hopefully this will be sorted soon enough. My pride n joy was fine at the start loving every min of it but after a month or so of owning her i noticed a clunking noise coming from the front o/s it was getting worse & worse so i decided to take it off the road & start my project. Up to now i have bought loads of bit n bobs for it but somehow never got round to buying a front topmount for the suspension (O well one day i will  )
The list is growing week by week, most of it cosmetic parts as i'm not clued up on the engine side of thing as of yet.

im not bad mate my cars seen better days bud. i spent last tuesday night from 10pm till 2am sitting in a ditch with the misses :(

i didnt crash but i ended up stuck n the more i tried get out the more my kit crunched

carbon wings screwed when the front end landed and my border sideskirts are no more

fitted a tempory set of sideskirts for a month or so till i get the carbon prototypes done not spraying these up as i did them in black gell coat instead of grey back on standard wings though till my new sets sprayed again costly mistake time wise lol ](*,)
