[All Generic] How can I convert this so it makes sense??

Post by ENSMR2 »

Looking at clutches for the 2 and I keep getting figures like this up:

Pressure of cover 9800N-m (1000Kgf/m)

Whats that in torque?

How do I work out what kinda engine torque that is??? or is that a totally different figure?

So far I've come up with 7223 lbs ft!! But that was for some hydraulic tool!

:x Why can't these companies just say what the clutch is good for rather then beating round the bloody bush!!!!!

Hopw someone can help.

Your conversion was fine. those are just metric units for torque.

To convert Nm to lbs.ft multiply by 0.737561
To convert kgf.m to lbs.ft multiply by 7.233003

So what is the torque rating of the clutch I was looking at?? 7223
is too much. Or is that figure for something totally different in clutch??
