LOVE Gears of War and the trailer is a real teaser!

Also read info about underwater levels and a mech suit for the cogs to use!

the book picks up they flood across the water to a old cold city they abandond years ago.. with locust random attack.. there is much more to it than that.. but you get the gist don;t want to ruin it if they use that story... just depends how far after the flood they set it??
or how much the writers worked with epic.... it does say they did....

yeah gow2 end was crap. Just like they couldn't be bothered with it. One zap from the HOD on that thing, even on insane killed the thing!

I think thats the case with all the second games in a trilogy.

Aslong as the ending of 3 is awesome i think it will make up for it.

Im really interested to see what they are gonna do with it and how much more they can push the graphics etc.

One of the biggest new things in the 2nd game was the amount of enemies on the screen.

Something they worked alot on too so it would be good if you could face a 100 strong swarm in the mech suit in number 3.

You just described every 1st and 3rd person shooter there. So I'm not entirely sure why you hold that against GOW only. Oh wait, it's not on the PS3, perhaps thats it

how? most first and 3rd person shooters have nice environments different objectives and things to do with multiple routes.... gears is go to room shoot everything move on, and repeat. the blood effects are terrible the graphics just look wet as with most 360 games. Even if gears did come to ps3 id have no intention on picking it up....
i didnt like bio shock 1 i tried it but it sucked but atleast that had you running about in pretty much open world number 1 and 2 are now on ps3 and its never even crossed my mind to try it "just because its on ps3". playing gears is like walking down a corridor until you reach the exit.... no free running about doing objectives of your own accord just walk in kill shout manly macho comments then do the same until the game ends.

thats like saying thousands of people join the army.... why dont you?
and im not the only one who doesnt like it no body i know does and im pretty sure there are millions of people who dont like it.

but can you honestly tell me that the game isnt just, go to room A shoot everything go to bigger room B shoot everything watch cut scene go to room C kill everything. its just one big corridor with no missions other then get here and then kill stuff.

tbh gears 2 is one of the 1st games i bought for my 360 and it's very poor.

The graphics just aren't up to scratch and the control system is terrible!

the worst thing though is the fact that the games is just so linear! There's only one way in and one way out. No deviation from that at all.

when you compare gow2 to other 3rd person shoot em ups like uc2, and God of war 3 you can really see how poor it is imo.

yeah, maybe shoot em up isn't the right term but 3rd person action is maybe better?

Although there's just as much shooting in uc2 as gow2

Just cause 2 is another thats better than gow as is Arkham Asylum

all FAAAAR superior than gears of war

I personally think the graphics on GOW are some of the best I've seen.

Cant really think of anything better and more detailed. It's not trying to be photorealistic.
