Situations Vacant. Regional Events Organisers

Post by Scott Barton »

IMOC-UK are looking to expand on our current batch of successful Events Organisers.

If you are already, or plan to arrange a local or national car meet, be it a rolling road day, a Sunday afternoon drive, or even attendance to a larger car show, then maybe the official tag of 'IMOC Event Organiser' is for you! :thumleft:
We are looking to cover every region of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland with an IMOC-UK events organiser.

If you are interested in giving something back to the club then please drop me a PM and we can discuss.

Thanks for your support.

Hey Leesa,

You will usually find that if you post something in 'Events discussion' you wont get that much of a response, for meets anyway. However if you set it in stone with a date, time and place and what you propose then post it in just the 'Events' section i guarantee you will have names down !!! 'Build it and they will come' - field of dreams :thumleft:

i have contacted scott about lincolnshire section

due to me running lincs sectin on another forum am aware of requirments needed already.

i had to take a region that had 3 regular people turn out, and usual meets have excess of 15 people now, its not easy work as some people may think as places where you intend to meet need to be aware of whats happening.

even down to a simple pub meet, i always let the land lord know a rough number of people even if its a normal wait to be seated, and let them know its a car based meet due to the nature of cars turning up.

normally they do go out there way to help and i have been given a part of the car park where all cars can be parked together, and normally best location for a few pics before you grab something to eat.

so yes it can be a challange but its also very rewarding when you see 10+ cars all get together and you get that feeling you have done this and everyone is happy :)

Well there are no defined regions as such, so call your region what suits best.

Good luck in organising!

You may also notice now you have access to a new section of the forum specifically for Events Organisers where you can discuss with other organisers upcoming events etc etc
