[Mk2] [Generic] Blueflame flexi looking ropey

Post by Ian Geary »

I fitted a blue flame exhaust about 4 years ago, and the flexible section is now pretty ropey, with the edging coming loose.

Has anyone ever had one of these repaired? is it fairly straight forward?

the rest of the exhaust is fine, and I don't really want to replace it.

thanks

Ian

If it's an old one, ring them up for a new one. They replaced the flexi with a new design a couple of years ago. The old 'concertina' type didn't last - and was replaced with an interlock style flex...

Obviously it won't work if you didn't buy it new... or it's been twatted by a speed-hump.

I bought it from blue flame via ebay. I was just worried that if they'd revised their design, then it might not mate up very well, but I'll giventhem a go.

cheers
