Hello All,
Up for sale is my beloved Toyota MR2 MKII Rev1 which has been converted to the 3.0Ltr 3VZFE.
The car was originally purchased in Oct 2004 as a standard UK 2.0Ltr N/A and I instantly started to treat her to new parts from Mr Toyota to bring her up my standards.
This car has been given all the attention she deserved to keep her faultless and tidy.
A small list of items purchased / fitted / serviced
Upgrade from the 14 wheels to standard 15
Interior Items Ashtray, Original Car Mats etc
Gear Oil changed for MT90
Clutch Master & Slave Cylinder
All brake discs & pads
Handbrake cables
All new KYB inserts
Eibach Pro Suspension Springs
SBits Droplinks
Front TRD Top Mounts
Polybush ARB mounts
Polybush torque mounts
The list goes on and I have kept all receipts.
Then in August 2006 I spotted Paul Woods advert on here for 3.0Ltr engine conversions and after a few messages and the fact my brother in law owns a garage we decided to convert the car ourselves.
I became a member of Twobrutal where all questions were answered as this is THE forum for converting MR2s.
The build thread for my car can be seen here
http://forums.twobrutal.com/showthread.php?t=5685
The 3VZFE engine from the N plate Camry was stripped cleaned and rebuilt with all new gaskets, water pump, oil pump, plugs, distributor cap, leads, new clutch, plus many other bits.
The official start up date for car No. 12 on the Twobrutal register was 18th February 2007 and since then she has been well maintained with regular oil changes etc.
She has been treated to cosmetic touch-ups on the body side to keep her clean, the turbo engine lid was colour coded, the three piece rear spoiler resprayed and other little bits of work. The interior is clean and tidy with the usual wear to the bolster. She has a Clarion MP3 player installed with some Boston Acoustic speakers up front. There is also a Clifford Concept 650 professionally fitted to keep her secure.
She currently has 3 months MOT and 4 months tax.
Overall this is a extremely well maintained and kept car.
My only reason for sale is to make room for a new project of building a MK1.5..!!
£2295.00 ono

Re: [FINALIZED] 1991 SW20 3VZFE For Sale
Just thought I'd put up some recent pictures.
A wash on Saturday, 6" of snow on Sunday and by the afternoon after the thaw she still looks this good -
And the only slight body problem is a tad of rust coming through the O/S rear of the sill -

Thanks Toni, Woodsy is the man on these things and his price of £2750,00
for top notch work is well worth it.
Being as I fancied the challenge we did it ourselves with alot of help from Paul and the other members of TB.
I'll be sad to see her go as she's such a good car, never let me down and still makes me smile.
I just fancy another challenge in building a MK1.5 and can't justfy 3 cars and a motorbike

One thing I forgot to mention is the mileage!
She's got 94,000 on the clock now and I did the swap at 78,000.
The Camry engine had 105,000 miles on it and when we stripped it you could still see the honing marks! These engines are fantastic!

What's it like compared to normal NA or Tubbys (as far as grins go that is).
When I had my JDM Rev3 NA I must say I really liked it, sadly had to move onto something else for a while though may go back to MR2 ownership again soon

If you like the 2.0 n/a then your'll love 3.0 n/a and, by the looks of it, you wont have to upgrade or change any of the normal wear n tear items as the lad has already done them !
Serious bargin there.
Serious bargin there.
We ALL make mistakes !!!

Soo tempting, but need to fix up my Celica pre-sale over Easter first (don't you just hate it when you are about to sell something and stuff goes wrong )

Rev 3 NA is aprox 175bhp - 3.0 V6 is aprox 200bhp + more torque and a better sound.

Compared to the n/a I had it's like night and day, the n/a seems quite puny in comparison.
Compared to my rev2 turbo when it was bog standard, very little in it with the turbo just having that bit more top end shove. Difference in driving style is a more 'wafty' way of gettting A to B
For the money this is a serious bargain, cannot get even close to the cost of a conversion for that.
Re: [FINALIZED] 1991 SW20 3VZFE For Sale
Cheers for the good comments.
It was Mr Woods comments on that they were comparable to Rev1 tubbys but with out the complications that sold me on a V6 for the MK2.
She's civil and polite and tiptoes around if you drive her gently, the torque is available from low down which makes driving more pleasent than the the 4 pot. But if you want to hear a roar through the Blitz LM Induction kit then use your right foot and you'll be beaming
Cheers Foxy, you must of seen her on TB. More was replaced on this than on a usual conversion, water pump, oil pump, thermostat, dizzy cap, dizzy leads and loads more all because I just could at the time.
I know how it feels to have things go wrong, the headgasket has gone on my 3 week old MK1.5 rebuild time..!!

If I had the space I'd buy it for the new MR2 Super GT Series.
Good luck with the sale. That's an excellent price.
