my red mk2 turbo

Post by pistol pete »

well i did the swap today for my 400quid st24 for this..

bits that need doing....

New bonnet or get it re-laquered
New bonnet release cable
engine temp sensor (for dash) hopefully, if it is engine then gives me my project i wanted so works either way for me....

engine lid prop catch

thats to get it up to scratch really....

then i will be playing and keeping this thread updated..

But anyways here it is day 1

seats and interior is in really good condition

then its okay for the money... but gives me something to play with from scratch which is what i wanted

this is what the advert read...
HI THIS AUCTION IS FOR MY BELOVED MR2 TURBO ON A 91 PLATE, THE CAR IS A JOY TO DRIVE AND MAKES ME SMILE ALL DAY LONG WHEN IM IN IT. IN MY OPINION THERES NO BETTER 2 SEATER SPORTS CAR TO DRIVE OR THE PERFORMANCE YOU GET THAN PRICE YOU CAN GET ONE OF THESE FOR. NOW A BIT ABOUT MY CAR STARTING WITH THE GOOD.

GOOD: FROM 1998 IMPORT DATE TO 2008 THE CAR HAD 1 OWNER AND WAS NEVER IN NEED OF ANYTHING I HAVE A FOLDER FULL OF HISTORY AND PARTS BROUGHT AND USED FOR THE CAR.

FOLOWING THIS FROM WHEN I OWNED THE CAR. I HAVE REGUARLY SERVICED THE CAR MYSELF (QUAILFIED MECHANIC) USING ONLY THE BEST RECOMMENED PARTS AS A MR20C MEMBER.

SERVICED ON THE 25 JAN 2010 LAST USING THE SAME PARTS AS NORMAL IE. MOBIL 1 FULL SYNTHETIC 15W50, K&N OIL FILTER, NGK IRIDIUM COLD SPARK PLUGS, NEW DIFF AND BOX OILS.

PERFORMANCE PARTS ADDED CONSIST OF, JAP SPEED FULL STAINLESS, K&N INDUCTION, RECON CT26 TURBO, MBC, AUTO DAILS BOOST GAUGE, SET UP AND ROLLING ROAD AT BD ENGINEERING BOOST AT 14.5 PSI, FUEL CUT DEFENDER. THIS PRODUCED 287BHP WHICH IS IMPRESSIVE AND MAKES IT A VERY QUICK CAR. THE CAR HAS ALSO BEEN LOWERED ON TEIN S TECH BY 40MM WHICH ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENED SPRINGS AND THE ROAD HANDLING IS FANTASTIC.

THE CAR ALSO HAS XENON BULBS WITH LED SIDELIGHTS AND NUMBER PLATE LIGHTS, CLEAR FRONTS, DEBAGED, VERY TIDY UNMARKED INTERIOUR WITH NO RIPS TO THE LEATHER OR SUEDE, NICE STEERING WHEEL UNSURE ON MAKE, BRAND NEW TYRES ALL ROUND. IM SURE THERES MORE THAT I WILL ADD LATER.

BAD BITS:

BEING A 91 IT DOES HAVE A FEW NIGGLY BITS NONE THAT AFFECT THE RUNNING OR DRIVE OF THE CAR THO SO DONT BE PUT OFF.

THE TEMP GAUGE HAS BEEN PLAYING UP AND SEEMS TO WORK WHEN IT FEELS LIKE IT BEEN TOLD ITS JUST THE SENSOR AND A COMMON PROBLEM. I CAN ASURE YOU THE CAR DOSNT OVERHEAT AS I USE IT DAILY DOING A ROUND TRIP OF OVER A 100 MILES WITH NO PROBLEMS.

AND THE ONLY OTHER THING IS TO THE BODY WORK DURING THE SNOW AND ICE IT HAS SOMEHOW TAKEN SOME OF THE LAQUER OFF THE BONNET AND TOP PART OF THE PASSENGER WING THIS IS NOT AN EXPENSIVE JOB TO HAVE DONE.

SO ALL IN ALL THATS IT THE CARS A CRACKING FAST CAR AND TURNS HEADS ALL DAY LONG THE WINNER WILL NOT BE DISAPOINTED.

ONLY SELLING AS I HAVE MOVED INTO MY OWN HOUSE AND HAVE A BIG DOG NOW AND THE MR2 IS MAKING THINGS QUITE DIFFICULT. SO I REQUIRE A BIGGER CAR. LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANYTHING THAT I CAN BUY AND THEN YOU CAN BUY MINE AS EBAY SAYS NO SWAPS ;)

bleedin caps...

but there it is peeps.. my little weekend project...

its not running that power now as the ic has been removed.. also there is no proof that it is so think it is normal make believe my car is this fast..
but it drives well

forgot how light on the front mr2's are.. but it does go very well
