Post by OlberJ »

Thought i'd put some info on my latest project on here and see if it qualifies

Apexi induction kit
Ferrari F355 exhaust and custom downpipes
Mk2 S54 tranny with Mk3 LSD and ST182 final drive

Will be getting it MOT'd this week coming and then just needs some tax and i can see how well it goes on the road and give it some real revs :thumleft:

Yeah it's been suspended on the lift for a month too so the suspension is sitting high anyways.

Will try and get the suspension done right after the MOT but got a Mk2 turbo clutch job to do next week.

Filled the car up with coolant today, fans are cutting in and out at the right time, and it sits at a nice temp. Idle's sitting at 2k but i've still to clean the ISCV, that should drop it back to about 1k.

Coupla vids with it up to temp. Listen to this thing sing :)

Certainly have mate, Chromoly F1 flywheel from the states. It's light but it's hard, had to get the flywheel bolt holes spark eroded to the correct PCD.

Had another drive of this on the way home from the MOT centre, it really, really shifts.

Upsets a lot of folk too, they don't like seeing a wee girly convertable go and sound like that it seems

Not that it would be pactical but i`d love to here this with a lightend crank and rods/pistons.

The noise from a free reving v6 with that exhaust would probably ending up sounding very similar to a super car.

Throttle bodies are what is needed :-k

Car's now fully MOT'd and working bob on :D

Just needs taxed and then i can take it out and give it some proper beans.

Did another little vid when i got it home : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IVkqCFhO-k0

It's strange driving it, under anything up to 3/5ths throttle it just sounds like a nice warm engine, then when you give it WOT it just barks at you. I love it.

I'll be there for some passenger laps myself but won't be on track. Need the uprated alloy rad before i even think about putting the car through that.

It will be on track soon though. You booked on mate?
