Hi Guys,
My little bro has just fitted a Japspeed back box to his N/A Rev 2, problem being that this system by-passes the Cat.....
......what do you guys do with the sensor for the cat when you go de-cat?
Cheers,
Chris

Are there two cats in an N/A ?
You had better be careful incase it now fails the mot, best to keep the standard exhaust/cat (until you find out anyway).
For the sensor either tie it up somewhere or remove it but leaving room to rewire it if needed.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Japspeed Exhaust
only one cat on an na,
manifold then mid-pipe then cat then exhaust box

No, there is just one cat in the N/A (unless there is maybe one in the manifold...not sure) but that's not a worry now- easy enough to throw on the standard system once a year.
So having it just tied up somewhere underneath in a polybag will have no adverse effect to the engine etc.?

i think all the post cat sensor does is check the cat is working so wont have an effect on the engine, may bring a fault light up though, which can be found on almost every de-catted car in the country
