[Mk2] [Turbo] external wastegate and screamer pipe

hi guys ive got a question about rerouting my screamer pipe,ive got a rev1 turbo with a greddy t-67 turbo,ive nearly got the build finished and was wondering if the wastegate a greddy type r unit could be rerouted into the downpipe,im making my own downpipe so wouldnt too much trouble to put the screamer pipe into it,the reason for me wanting to do this is i personaly didnt like the sound of my old one and dont really like the thought of alot of hot exhaust gases coming out just below the engine,the exhaust is a blitz nur spec any advice if this is a good idea or not many thanks will

Whack it straight back into the downpipe. Just route it at an angle.
