Heard they stop the front end going light at higher speeds. They will fit all MR2's

Do you not need the rev 5 archliners as well?

I fitted a pair to my Rev2 without any problems - Just need to line up and carefully mark and drill three holes in the liner and then fit them up with some short black coach or roofing bolts.
You'd never know they were not original. :D

Home made flaps look exactly like that!

If you are going to pay Mr T prices securing them onto the inner liners with roofing bolts isn't going to be safe. They'll be ripped off on the next speed bump!

A better solution is to fabricate a plate to sit behind the liner. Drill and tap it. Use stainless steel hex-head dome bolts. That looks 'better than original'.(Even the Rev 5 fittings rust and look unsightly).

I'll post some pics of mine when I get a chance.

Now you mention that, that is what I did but not with stainless steel bolts. I guess a lick of satin black paint on the bolt heads every so often will be OK.

Here's a pic.

The bolts were obtained from ebay. I uses the same ones to replace the bolts drilled out for the front fogs. (also used stainless washers). The plate was a scrap piece of aluminium which I shaped to straddle all three holes. Marking up and drilling the holes precisely took a bit of figuring out but was well worth the effort.

Worth noting that you have to have a stock front bumper (or stock-ish) in order for these to fit properly - I bought a set from Mr T and couldn't fit them as they wouldn't fit around my Border bumper.

Would that be the same for rev 6 bumpers?
