For sale posts, deleted once sold

I was thinking -when private sales are completed I notice some folk edit and delete the contents of the original ad.

Not really hacking at that (their choice) -but for the benefit of those who are looking for offers, those wanting to know what something's worth or folk looking for similar parts -is this approach not counter productive?

Imoc's not too bad for it but it does happen -I thought it was worth asking as I quite often window shop for stuff across a few foums, but can't understand why the original contents of FS ads are sometimes deleted once completed?

Not really one for the admins but thought it was worth a question anyway -see what others think?

Doesn't happen very often and after so may days the posts get deleted anyway once sold...
