Porsche 924 with Rovertech V8

Post by aw11rally »

I've feen unfaithful to my Mk1 MR2's and got hold of a V8 924, it needs quite a bit of work to get it through an MOT but I drove it off the trailer and up my drive last night and it feels a beast.

Left two big black lines up the drive with a lil blip of the throtte (the front calipers were siezed on though) the torque is amazing, dyno printout shows max 275lbft at 4k but with over 200 from 1750rpm!

Can't wait to get it working properly and out on a track for a drift, 245bhp 275lbft and weighs in at about 1000kg when stripped.

Looking forward to it but what do you guys think?

made a lot of progress today, stripped carpets and soundproofing out, of which there was at least a full wheelie bin full! now started to remover the second layer sound proofing which is a 2mm layer of bitumin type stuff covering the whole floor and transmission tunnel. and its very well stuck down, i wish porsche didn't put their cars together so well.

also fitted the fan and thermostat for the radiator, and made and fitted some polycarb rear quarter lights with some left over sheet i had left.

looking a lot more respectable now.

got some pics not sure how to put them on here though, I will though.[/img]

I will sort some pics out, planning on doing a photo diary as I go along. Will be entering her in the PPC magazines 999 challenge (14mile drag and a sprint in a car costing upto £999, fastest time overall wins).
