Radtech Chargecooler, what pre rad??

Post by Greddy-Matt »

Hi Guys
Just wondering what pre rads those with radtech chargecoolers are using?
My new install is in and I'm trying to lower my intake temps, I'm using a fiat rad at the moment which seems to be doing the job but wondered if there is a more efficent solution?

Any advice welcome.

I can do away with the aircon rad, I've ditched the pump etc already :D
I'll take a look at the GT4 spec

Yeah would be nice to use one of thoe, I was also considering a normal MR2 rad as a pre rad horizontally mounting it into a custom front undertray :-k

I've got a Radtec kit and although I don't know what the pre-rad is as such, this pic might help you size it up roughly.

As for performance it seems excellent. My intake temps keep dropping for as long as I can be on the throttle it seems. In fact, I had to hold it on load for a while during the last mapping session to help bring them down!

Thanks guys.
I had the car mapped last night, and apart from one of the Radtech silicon joiners going bang the temps are pretty good on the road and on the dyno now,
