Could be a number of things, most likely (unfortunately) is PayPal messing up.

PM LimeyMk1 with details of what email account you use for PayPal and he should be able to sort you out.

Happened to me too and I had a reciept for the payment yesterday. It still seems to have dropped me out, I cant get in the forum section.

Just looked into this for you.

As you paid by echeque the payment wont be clearing until the 14th August. Your membership should automatically upgrade when the funds are cleared.

Payment Type:
eCheque
This eCheque payment will be credited to your PayPal balance once the funds have cleared from the sender's account. This usually takes three to five working days so please do not post any items until the funds have cleared. No just the normal method. was my first year.

I dont even know wth an echeque is? simulating the delay of a real cheque traveling through the system and being verified ? ??? zomg

Heh well it "cleared" now so Im back in anyway.
