Hi
I have a Mk1b that has had a full respray and I need to put the plastic trim strips that run down the sides of the car back on. My local body shop has a double sided tape that has a foam layer that is used for this job. unfortunatly the tape is much thicker than the original tape and so will cause the strips to have a gap between them and the bodywork. Does any one know where to source a thinner tape suitable for the job?
Regards
Andrew

You'll find that the type used for sticking lino down with is best: it has a sort of woven cloth base, rather than fibres...?
It sticks like s**t to a blanket! B+Q may have some, but CarpetRight, etc will DEFO have the stuff......

Re: Trim Strip Tape - Where to buy?
Some kind chap on here recommended VHB tape (Very High bonding?) and kindly sent me a little to do what I needed. It is the poodles noodles and I highly recommend it, car resto companies do it I think, google has the answer!
