2.5 20v Turbo with 340bhp. 0-60 4.6s
That means it's substantially faster than it's rivals such as the SLK AMG, Porsche Boxter, 370Z and other smaller coupe's.
£50k is too much though IMO. It puts it too near to cars like the GTR, M3, RS4, E63 AMG etc.

But in a couple of years, I bet it's value drops considerably more than those....

Audi are billing it as the natural successor to the 80's Quatro.

Little spoiler and a little power upgrade and they expect 50k?! They are having a laugh. Does that include the curling tongs too?

Is it actually an R35 though, in the same vain as the R32, R33 and R34?

Or one of these ugly monsters
R31

Yes. It's just the earlier variants were also known as Skylines. This has now changed, the R35 is a GTR but not a skyline.

It's got an entirely different engine with FIVE cylinders...
However, It's not VFM,TTS or S3,depending on the space you need, are better bets.

Yes,I did know they had dropped the 'Skyline' name....but not sure why :? ...IMO it was one of the better names in automotive history.

I know they've dropped the Skyline name. I was not so sure about the "R" denominations they used previously though.

This is purely a guess, but I would suggest the reason they dropped the Skyline name was because this is a purpose built sports/super car from the ground up.

Previous Skylines (as we know them) were fast versions of every day cars really.

I believe this is the first ever Skyline model which was made by a company called Prince. Nissan later took over them and kept the model but badged as a Nissan Skyline

They dropped the name because its not a skyline.

Its not a souped up Saloon/Coupe like the old skyline GTRs, it was built to be a GTR from scratch.

Intentionally, my pictures were to show the 4 door "taxi" skylines that the sporty ones were based on :thumleft:

Hmmn, I underestimated a bit...

http://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/119113692

Nearasdammit 8.5m yen. (£52K!!)

http://page15.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/a ... t118412527

10m yen!! (£61.8K!!!!!!!!!!)

In context R34s go for between 3-5m yen. R35s for around 6-8m yen.!!

Serious cash.

They both look extremely mint. Also consider that production of those was in the hundreds, not thousands like the R34 which would explain the price.

I mean some one posted a link to an original Mini Cooper a few months ago that was up for £30k
Rare yes, but worth £30k???? Hell no.

Correct me if im wrong, but the ring is ussualy open so that you can come with your own car, pay a fee and drive the track. They close it of course on certain days for races, but most likely this was an open track day and for some reason this guy had a M3 GTR to drive. ill bet he didnt hafta pay the fee either
