Hi all was hoping those of you with the chargecooler conversion would share some information on the simpliest way to wire up your chargecooler pump?
I was planning to keep the pump running constant on the ignition.
There also is the matter about what to do with the warning light that remains on after removing the intercooler and fan?
Hope as many people will share there opinions, pics would be very helpful?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Wiring chargecooler pump......
depends where you are placing the pump.
In the frunk, use a relay and take a feed from the fuse box to power the relay and a wire direct from the battery to power the pump through the relay.
In the engine bay, similar idea but use the main feed to the box as the power signal to the pump.
The warning light - some folks I read had used this for a pump failure light but I don't know how they wired it up

Im mounting the pump in the engine bay, off the gearbox infact. I've bought a pump identical to the davies craig, greddy-matt has the same one.
Wondering why you would use a relay?
You are still wiring it live with the ignition right?
Is there like an old threat somewhere with pics of this?
Your helps much apprecieated

Just disconnect the cooling fan control box in the boot - no more warning light.

I'm also wondering why a relay is necesary
That said I know squat about electrics, there is probably a good reason for it.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Wiring chargecooler pump......
I used a rely as I was running the celica pump which is near 30AMP - figured I;'d like the extra protection but that was just me

I take it you mean disconnect the cooling fan ecu in boot (as referred to by pic)?
What are your thoughts Patrick on wiring in these davies craig pumps, i believe you used to use them in your revision 6 chargecooler kit?
Do you just wire them straight into the ignition live from fusebox in engine bay?
Or do you do this with added safety of including a fuse or relay???
Thanx once again for everyones feedback
Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Wiring chargecooler pump......
Anyone going to clarify this for me ???
