Should be able to just disconnect it and stick it in the bin. Doesn't affect running / ecu.. merely a probe that lights up when things get hot up back ( if still connected )!!

Would be cautious if you still have a cat though. If not don't worry. If you do... get rid. :thumleft:

nope, just had the car mapped today and this came up, and also the alternator bel=t has just been spat at me,

I thought if you treat an engine to a map with a td06 it would be happy
Obviously not easily pleased this one :thumleft:

is there any way i can get rid of the light though, really bugging me

If its the cat temp sensor light, as mentioned above, just disconnect it.

Just cos both times my alternator went those two lights came up, along with the engine bay fan light.

More than likely once you fire it up after fitting the new belt it'll all be right again. :thumleft:

So is the mapping all done on your car? whats it like with the TD06?

yes bud 98% of the map is done, just need to get her on the rollers to tune now.
Running very safe map, and approx 320 330 at the minute,
Td06 is really a buzz, screamer is addictive and the boost priceless lol
Spool is alot quicker than i expected, very similar to a degree to the ct20.
Im a very happy man lol

You could be right in what your saying bud :thumleft: Hopefully allis rosey once running
If not i still dont know what this sensor looks like, bearing in mind i dont have a cat :-k

Cool sounds good man!

The cat temp sensor is just like a little EGT probe, just a thin shaft of metal with a thread on it and a cable coming out the other end.

No doubt it would connect to a loom section with a plug, and will have been removed when the car was decatted.

Thats how it was on my old Charade GTxx.

Sounds like when your belt came off it may have damaged the cat temp sensor wire cos it goes right by the belt.

Sound like your all up and running though!! nice one!! :thumleft:
