Hello All
Firstly I must say A BIG thanks to Doeboy and Adam3442 for keeping me on the straight and narrow, also for all their help that they have given me in trying to find another 2. Adam so kindly drove me on a 7-8 round trip to South Wales the other week to go and look at a Rev4 T-bar Turbo Sonic Shadow which unfortantly turned out not to be a nice as I was lead to believe (alot of paint work issuses). Abit disheartened we left Wales for the jorney home where I was considering getting a 1995 rev3 carribean blue GTS T-Tbar turbo which is still currently being shipped over from Japan.
I then saw a cat-D write off that GTS Chris was selling for £2500 which looked promising but was talked out of by the boys and TBH they were right for doing so as I really would never of been happy with it as it wasnt a Sonic Shadow or a fresh import so the hunt started again and it has now finished after realizing that to get what I want I am going to have to go the long way about it.
So today I meet Doeboy and we drove upto look at what I thought was a stunning 2 and we werent dissapointed :yh: . We managed to strike a deal which I was happy with and then Doeboy then drove the car back (over 100 miles) for me.
Top job boys and thank you for your help and guidence
So please welcome my new MR2 she is; A totally standard 2000, V registered, Revision 5, UK T-bar, Sonic Shadow with 87390 miles on the clock, and 3 perious owners. All MOT's are present and it has 10 service stamps of which 9 are Toyota Dealership services and alot of paperwork inculding the bill of sale to the first owner
Here are some of the pics that I have at the moment I will post more once I have had a chance to clean her and take her some where nice for photos off my Iphone
I already have a couple of bits to fit to her as well and they are a set of HIDs and a Toyota Boot mat

Nice '2, Dave!
I still regret not buying your old one but my TÜV Tester almost fainted when I told him about the mods...
Should have bought it anyways and registered it in the UK...
Let me know next time you move on to another car so I can come looking at your recent one...

2gr-fe dave? No idea where you'd find one but plenty of time to look whilst you're saving tax money for petrol with the n/a.

Re: My Rev5 T bar Sonic Shadow Project
Thanks folks
the plan is to some nice small sutble little touches to the car over the next year while building up parts ready to do a engine conversion to 3s gte in 2010 (it seems really long when its said like that ) I miss boost but am happy that i have found what i wanted beeing a nice t-bar sonic shadow. So far in a week of having the car i have enjoyed driving it and
Added a Toyota OEM boot mat,
Done the HID conversion (4300K) again like i did on my rev1 and
Had a Tracker fitted
once i get the log book through from the DVLA I am going to get a slightly smaller number plate make up, remove the front UK number plate plinth and add the plate to the bumper like i did on my old rev1. i am also going to get the Rev5 spoiler colour coded to the roof colour. Here is a pic of a photoshop that Tsunami65 did for me

Re: My Rev5 T bar Sonic Shadow Project
looks nice bud, makes me want to keep hold of my toms 400bhp silver/black rev4 but just has to go
Re: My Rev5 T bar Sonic Shadow Project
Well this week i picked the 2 back up from the body shop where from having a spot of rust sorted and the revision5 spoiler painted, I am well chuffed with the look of it here are some pic's
hope you like as I think it is something that Toyota should of done just to complete that dual colour scheme properly (as well as the wing should of been painted in the same colour not just Astral Black which will be done when i get a set of retractable wing mirrors and do the auto window up mod at the same time)
