Well the car is for sale, but I decided on a few impromptu photos on the way home from work as the camera was in the car and the evening light was nice.
I hope you like them. The car hasn't got too much interest on PH, but it's early days. I'm not too desperate to sell, so the price is on the higher side for a 94 Rev3 Turbo.

What you going to get once you've sold the 2 Matt? Any particular plans? Samsung seems to be performing OK there by the way, do you use imaging software?

It's a good view though
I asked God for a bike, but I know God doesn't work that way. So I stole a bike and asked for forgiveness.

Re: maybe the last pics I take?
haha, yeah but not with someone else in the drivers seat
Re: maybe the last pics I take?
Thanks for the comments, guys
I will be sorry to see it go, but I am less attached to it than I thought I would be.
I really need something more economical. I manage to squeeze 32mpg from it as I mainly do motorway miles. But at 74 miles a day on Super, it's still costing me a fair bit.
I'm also just after a newer car. Although mine is in great condition for its age, the mileage is nearly at 90k, give it a year and it'll be over 110k and starting to lose value.
I really fancy a mk3 MR2 which will be awesome on the twisties and still get me 40mpg on the commute, but I'm worried it will be a bit tiresome on the motorway.
The honest answer is that I really don't know what I want!
p.s. the road that the pics were taken on is an absolute hidden gem, single track. It feels like you're on a rally stage as it open up at the top of the hill with no hedges - just the rolling fields of north Essex

I reckon you'll enjoy a mk3 mate. I don't find Miches tiresome on the motorway at all. No more so than any other car on a motorway anyway.
Let us know how you get on.

It's Coploe Road which goes South out of Ickleton.
There are actually loads of roads like this around Saffron Walden. In fact the area around the Cambs/Essex/Suffolk borders has some brilliant driving roads. It's the lack of hedge rows that does it, meaning that the roads are often well sighted.

Re: maybe the last pics I take?
You know it makes sense. If you do get one remember to make sure it's had the pre-cats removed if it's outside warranty.

Re: maybe the last pics I take?
I've looked into this a bit, Rob. The problem seems to be mainly on pre face-list cars (00 - 02). From 03 Toyota changed the pistons and a few other things, but never admitted that the pre-cats were ever a problem. They did admit that the original pistons were a potential cause of a small number of engine problems
I'm looking at 03 onwards, but will probably get the pre-cats checked anyway.

Re: maybe the last pics I take?
When Miches went past the end of the warranty I took it up to Rogue for a service and got them to knock out the pre-cats at the same time. I think they charged an hour labour as far as I can recall. We just figured better safe than sorry and if they aren't there they can't break.
Thx for keeping me informed today as well mate. Defo come back up to Cambridge when I get back from hols and try to catch up then. Not driving up this afternoon did mean I managed to spend several hours cleaning up the old gal after the qualifying... and adding several layers of wax.
