do i need some kind of a special connecter for the stereo coz there isnt a stereo yet and i had a cheap 1 i was going to use for time being but its completly different connecter that goes to back of stereo

how do you know if you have an active system or not?

My car did nto come with a stereo and only has one connector in the dash ones I have seen on ebay seem ot have 2 connectors?

if you have 1 or 2 subs behind either yours or the passenger seat then you have an active system, you will then need to identify what connection is required (14 or 15 pin lead)

Also... remember that the subs are in the cubby boxes. Not just generally sat there :thumleft:

mines the same,only one white plug into a standard toyota cassette head unit but all the converter plugs are twin???

Put up picture of your plug it will either be 14pin or 15pin I can send you a new one for £16 delivered.
Your new stereo has to have two pairs of RCA outputs if its got one I can supply you with splitter leads or hi to low level adaptors like this.
