Ferrari 360 CS

Post by JJ »

The outcome : MR2 of course !

Coming round a few twisties.. I find what can only be described as a lilac georgous looking car.... and what a noise....actuated exhaust valves for sure... Challenge Stradale with all the rear being in a black grill.... Anyway... quite a spirited drive... roundabout time.. I'm sorry to say this.. but like a moth to a flame...my MR2 found itself behind it.... not directly... but 8 car lengths....for a short pacing....

Exit on the roundabout.. and heard an almighty bellow, bit of carbon from the 4 tail pipes.... and off my hammer goes down along this quiet dual carraigeway... this thing starts to shift ( 10 car lengths )... then mine comes on boost and pulls through the rev range in 2nd.. whilst part buckling in the dry 40 mph- 70 mph...( 255's not holding traction ) ...into 3rd a few seconds after, then into 4th...

Clearly evident that this chap found an open road entertaining too, I found myself reeling him in .. over a period of half a mile... I found the little blue shed pulled right upto 2ft from his bumper and backing off....

Beautiful car... think it might be one worth saving for ! :D

No acknowledgement by either party... Just because he drives a Ferrari doesn't mean I can't be pretentious either !!

Yup... My TVR Cerbera 4.5 AJP Speed 8 had better specs that those and that pulled past a couple. And my MR2 could just pull past the Cerb until it ran out of speed !!

Cerbera.. you're going into 5th at 155 mph !! ( track obviously ! )

TVR was brilliant... did step out at 110 once... thats was a quick change of shorts surprise...I got rid because with TVR ceasing part production, the AJP engine was all made in house at blackpool... I couldn't bare to think of having a mechanical write off on the drive + I needed something a little more practical.

Superb drifting machine though !!

Id buy another.. but it have to be the Rover V8 powered ones... Chimera / Griff .. or a tuscan with a toyota supra engine in it !! :thumleft:

Had a guy from here bring a TVR to a RR day once. It sounded incredible.
Forget what model it was now.

This is a perfectly fair post. He says he cought it, beat it, but still appreciated it.

Did it have the CS stripe over it?

My parents were on one of those coach trip holidays and the driver saw one and said "why would you stick a tacky sticker on a Ferrari"

Err, it's about £2k worth of hand painted extra there #-o

That would be too much power... you wouldn't stop the back wheels spinning.

You're not on Pistonheads are you?
