Hi All
I had a bit of an 'accident' tonight and I managed to break the black plastic arm bit which you use to switch the headlights on and off. I was putting the steering wheel lock on it (one of those yellow and grey things which I forget the name of now) and the very solid end of it made contact with the arm where I knocked it and it cracked it inside, so instead of being a round cylinder inside, part of it has broken off and theres a split in another bit .
I can still put the headlights on, but it takes a bit more of an effort and I have to grip the metal bit myself to turn it round - has anyone else ever done this? Will another one just line up and fit on or will it need a whole new motor?
I'm actually quite gutted about it, but it could be worse!
I've got the broken arm sitting on the dining table at the mo...wonder what the other half will say

Re: Broke the headlight switch plastic arm!
My old Mk1 had this problem, the plastic knob split off of the metal switch arm. Just pick up on off of a car being broken or the whole switch on ebay. The Plasic just pulls off and pushes back on. You'll fix it for less than a fiver so don't feel too bad!
