Damn 5th gear !

Its looking like I might have to change 5th gear. The clutch pedal is a little high aswell, so I'm likely to do both at the same time.

Any ideas on how much the parts are likely to be ?

I had an LSD put in (I bought the LSD seperately) and a gearbox reconditioned for £300, and that was a good price! So if your looking at a full box recon, about 300-400, it would be cheaper to get a good 2nd hand box and fit that.

As for clutch, std clutch from a motorfactor costs about £55-80 depending on who you know and if you get the smaller 1a clutch or the 1b (200mm, or the 212mm).

There are 2 posts on the knowledge base on 5th gear cures, one from Lauren (Tims link above) and one from myself.

It depends how badly worn 5th gear itself is as to how much you'll need to replace but it can cost up to £200.
