Front wings

Hi think my front offside wing will be giving up the ghost soon .
I can find plenty of rear wing kits online , but where's best to get the fronts from and what sort of price . many thanx for any help Nik

Honeybourne mouldings do fiberglass front wings for about £60 each IIRC, or you can get steel ones frrom Toyota for about £120 each

how much lighter are fiberglass wings over the steel ones?

They're no lighter really, just means that once they're fitted you haven't got to worry about them going again.

And probably a good call - as the metal on the OEM one's are incredibly thin, and can rust through even quicker than the originals unless adequately protected both sides. :wink:

Depends what type of accident. Fibreglass is actually quite good at absorbing bumps and is actually much stronger than steel in certain circumstances :-k

Fiberglass is Much more forgiving to Carpark dings and the like but lets face it the Mk1 whether you have steel or fiberglass wings the difference is going to be minimal interms of crash protection.
