Re: Do you know about this Rich (Redmk1)?
yeah....car went needed a "family car" but in a few years, once im all sorted and cash is not a problem, another mk1 should be around.
Re: Do you know about this Rich (Redmk1)?
Rich,
I am confused, the ad says it is not the car being sold but your post implies it is your ad which would mean it is the actual car?
If it was you selling your car, I think you should have mentioned how shiny it is in the photo!
I admit if my car was used to sell another car without my permission I would be cross.

You'd think they would have mentioned how lovely and shiny the car in the photo is (and of course the one behind it ).
I think even Tiny has cause to get cross, the advertiser should at least credit how clean it is.

The ad may have been updated since this thread commenced but it does mention that the photo is not of the car in question.
If the photo is not copyright and is available to the public via the internet then anyone can use it as they see fit.
I posted my CV up onto a well known website when job hunting and a recruitment consultant I'd never heard of took it, changed my name, removed my contact details and changed the names of my former employers and touted it on his own website as a candidtate he had on his books.
It was still 99% my CV but when I enquired with Hampshire Police specialists about the legal status of this action I was advised that no offence had been committed and I had no legal basis on which to complain.
In short, don't post anything you want to maintain control of.
