No lights on dials or heater control!

Post by STUAW11 »

Noticed today that the instrument cluster and heater controls have blacked out :!: obviously a connection problem, but has anyone had this and is there a common place to check? before i start taking the dash apart

Have you lost the rear sidelights and number plate lights

As i had a problem with losing the dash lights that i put down to a loose fuse.

Turned out to be the relay was on its way out

£10 for the auto electrian to check/find fault changed the rear fog light relay so i could drive in the dark

£20 for a new relay from the local toyota dealer

Relays are located above the fuse box in drivers footwell

Hope this is of some help before you have to take the dash apart

Iv still got the tail lights, but the dash lights have started working intermitantly, sometimes if i knock the dash or just above the heater controls they come on again :? iv got plenty of spare relays so il try changing some on this circuit :!:
