whats the wings made out of?

What are the wings made out of on the mk2's? been in a crash and noticed this -



is this normal or have they been custom shaped??

the pink is bodyshop filler and buy the looks ouf it a lot of filler but with your border bumper the wing would have been shaped to fit the bumper for a perfect fit

thats what I thought, looks like its been custom shaped, hopefully It can be repaired, shouldnt be too hard for them to add some more filler to it

Ive been worrying about it for hours but sort of stopped worrying now and relised its not the end of the world, new front bumper, new side light, sort the wing out and it will be like new

luckilly I work in a bodyshop so will get one of them to do it cheap

yea going border again, think it finishes the car off. dont think it will be a gen border, cant afford one of them

Wing would not need filling to fit a original border bumper so was probably just damage it as picked up in past.
And only bodyshops would fill the wings to match bumpers as it is the easy/cheaper/less time consuming option.Depends on what your willing to pay.

I always mod/cut/etc the part to fit the std car.the way it should be done .

And panel beating is an art form,i have a lot of respect for someone who can do this well.
