hi, read the KB article but I know some folks have mentioned the coil takes a pounding while cranking the engine with the plugs removed. Is this a big issue and if so how to protect it? Can I unplug the ecu thus preventing the igntion system from firing the coil / ignitor?
Had a crap dyno run (which backed up seat of the pants dyno) so need to check compression and defo timing, cheers

if you remove the efi fuse that should prevent the ecu sending any sort of signal to the coil and even the fuel injectors so no danger of bore wash.
