I can think of better ways of improving this car when spending a claimed $18000!

Nice engine, I can't really get excited about the exterior though!

The VIN indicates it's an AW15 :-k

Are all US cars like that then? I thought AW11 was a global designation.

Yeh....decent airflow through the IC / engine cover would be the first port of call, especially considering the tuning...!

Would also like to know what compression ratio he's running...... :D

I would pay $18,000 to have the air scoops removed. Should get rid of any disruption they cause to the airflow through the engine.

Take off the blue graphics and the pink :pale: doorcards and that would be a nice car!!

Fair play to him tho, it does look in mint condition.. just his styling taste is a little .. erm.. rubbish

love the way fresh cold air is sucked in, heated by the turbo, then heated further by the unvented interboiler. #-o

Wheels are a bit spangly, paint job a bit '90's ford - really loathe modifying for the sake of adding nonsense onto things with no real purpose. Why not just stick an mk2 lump in and be real original

Am I right in thinking the US market had a 20-valve version? I don't know much about it, but perhaps this is the AW15?

As far as I know the 20Valve was always an engine conversion, altho with those americans nothign would surprise me.

am 99.9% sure there was never a 20valve mr23 tho

The 20valve was only in the Corolla/Levin. Never in an MR2.

thats as I thought Lauren, altho there have been some obscure combinations of car that have come from the states so theres always that 0.1% chance they may have done something different.
