Yeah I have to agree its a great venue but the locals are certainly stuck in there own ways. Its one of those places where everyone is related in one way or another

JAE should be this
roughly in the middle of the country
have showers and toilets
somewhere to camp
thats it, everything else is something that we ourselves bring to make JAE good.
Bang on that mate. Couldn't have put it better myself.

The extra road is not on/off the island, it is a return road to the main road and has been earmarked for the field right behind where we were all camping as the only road to the site currently is through a farm and quite narrow.

ScottBarton wrote:Hmmm...bit dubious on two JAE's. It will end up as just the southern people going to Mersea and just the Northern people going to the one 'oop north'. It would halve the attendance figures for some of the clubs and take away the magic of an 'Annual JAE meet', where the whole idea was to bring club members far and wide in one place at one time.
maybe they should have put it in the middle of the country then i think two shows is a good idea

What is JAE!!
Only the best Japanese Car show ever...
Only the best collection of MR2's in one place at any one time it what is now fondly know as 'MR2 Village'...
Only the best collection of Jap machinery in any one place at any one time...
Only the best place to have a good laugh with club members, barbecue, fancy dress etc etc.....
...it must be the Japanese Auto Extravaganza!
Have a look around this part of the forum for reports and pictures. This year was a roaring success.
