[Mk2] [Generic] Has anyone Smoothed their mirrors??

Curious as to if anyone has ground down the writing on the door mirrors ?
Its a pain getting the polish out :whistle:

ive wanted to looks horrible and full of polish lol

i got xxxx bang and a tooth brush on mine didnt work great but better than they were,still got some polish left on em

I cant see the point of all the writing ,im going to buy some cheap mirrors and try it :-k

Doeboy, (who is mainly on OC) has done this on his one one looks very good, black car too.

If anyone gets an answer to this I'd love to know too!!! I HATE having to try and get the polish out (when I bother that is lol) of the writing ](*,)

I had a spare pair of mirrors that I threw away too :(

They just rub 'em down with a sanding block and respray them..

Cant believe how easy and quick this was ,Sanding disc in the drill and presto gone in a flash ,No more polish\:D/

(I need to rub it down properly though i was only playing around with this)

A soft nail brush or toothbrush will get the polish out :-)

I did it to mine - they look great - that was on my last Mr2 - will be doing on my current beasty this winter. Its a cool and cheap option to do....
