Heh heh - we'll see what we can do - We wanted to keep the number of forums down to a reasonable number insitally - we may do something like this on another area of the new site.

I may not be at the top JJ but if the section was listed by revision and with or without nitrous, i bet i possibly would be for rev1's. 8)

There's more to come yet too, Santa Pod in february, i'm going for under 12.6! Are you up for that event?

I agree with having a with and without "cheat gas" time posted

would make a few peoples times look more realistic ;)

you know who you are ;)

Realistically, I can do it much quicker now... I managed a 12.9 qrt when running 1 bar and some retarded timing.. the car goes like stink in comparison to when i first put it in... which was 12 hours before I hit the track I might add ! I had to sleep and eat between that too.. so no tweeking at all !

Just playing wicha mark ! Your damn right though, your certainly the quickest recorded in the country for a rev 1 turbo !! Fingers crossed for a quicker time !! 8)

Might even show up a couple of TD06 powered cars !! :D

Dunno about the event... closer to the time, I'll give a shout... I'm keeping myself rather busy at weekends at the moment with work work and more work. Besides that, it normally snows in the north in february, don't you smog people get that white flurry stuff !!!

Lol .... the quickest cars will still be at the top - what difference does it make.

Can we have a stock pistons time shown too? How about head wind time? How about nangkang pb!!

Next you'll be wanting stock engine management to be a criteria

Ooo ... how about the time posted by the car owner is with the owner driving it - that means the time to beat is back in the 11's :D

Another idea would be to have a few more sections on the 1/4 mile list things like turbo type ECU etc or a colum where basic mods could be listed. Personally think it would make intersting reading

The old board was quite good as you could click on the persons time and go through to the profile and see the mods.

Nangkangs .... ahaa thats why lee achieved sideways down the drag way lol

Now don't get me wrong Steve, i know nitrous gives great results, but i'm personaly not a fan of the stuff. As for a section for stock management, thats a good idea too
I just like the idea of knowing how quick peoples cars really are, without resorting to gas, hell you can make any pile of barry boy poo go quick with enough of that stuff. It's good to know what people can get out of these things without resorting to it. Who'd of believed a rev 1 on stock internals and management could safely produce the figures i have, i'd like to see others doing the same sort of things. With any luck andi martins rev 1 should be capable before much longer too once it's all back together and set up. I know i'll never be at the top of the list time wise but i'd at least like some glory

Yep, I got a 13.2 with Nankangs! Although the grip was poo poor. The back end was jumping up down violently though and as you can imagine traction was, well, wasn't. In fact, the bumping was so bad that I broke two transmission mounts

I dunno I always thought 1/4 mile was about going a 1/4 mile as fast as possible - nitrous, weightloss, drag radials, race gas ....... are all things giving a performance edge. Adopting the view that "anyone can strap nitrous to a car and go fast" is like saying "anyone with a big enough wallet can pay someone to build them an engine" to me anyway.

Lol .. as for your car having stock engine management - theres something a foot there as your AFM doesnt max out like everyone elses lol. So you cant be in that category :p ha ha
On a serious note your times are fantastic! They still perplex me given you say your running sensible boost levels though - keep up the good work!

Uneven tyre pressure ought to do it ! I managed it at york, not just once either !! thought I've never had problems launching the car ... turned out the tyre pressure had dropped 10psi on the driverside !
