The other option is to call whifbitz where I got the wheels from and see if they do a 8x18 wheel the same as the ones on it with the right offset or with a spacer and put a 225/35/18 on that. Would give more space in the arch for coilovers and a smaller over all profile.

I had no problem with my old wheels at 18x8 with 225/35/18 with a 35 offset. (Would need a 5 or 10mm spacer for the arches though. (Longer studs wouldn't be needed due to the depth of the wheel bolt holes in the wheel)

Hope this helps mate.

I'll post a pic soon and show where the dosh from my baby has gone

Thanks for the info Scott :thumleft: There's no immediate rush to sort them right now, it's only an issue on full lock as you know. I can get around this for now so after the other bits are finished I'll set about solving this little puzzle :)

Show us the new truckasaurus then

Just a wee small update. Been busy doing lots of little jobs, like finishing the door cards, tuning the ICE and loads of little bits nobody would care about

However.. One thing I had to do was to swap the Forge BOV for the stock valve off the old engine. As good as the Forge is, I just can't stand that damn noise ](*,)

After taking it off it was clear it wasn't nearly clean enough to go into the new hyper clean engine bay
Image

Took the paint back to the metal and evened up the surface
Image

A spot of enamel paint later
Image

This is why the BOV has to be spotless
Image

Et voila. I purposely didn't replace the bottom hose in the BOV, to emphasise the main hose line, which also then draws the eye away from the bottom black hose, giving a cleaner look. Yes, I think too much about these things

Seats wise I've decided to keep the Brides and the Corbeaus already have a new home to go to.

Next up is to repair the tear in the driver's side Bride seat and to clean it up. The passenger side has already been scrubbed back to new. Then it's discs and pads time, before the chargecooler (again)..

Pretty much spot on there

Although I'm a clean freak anyway, if you hadn't guessed already  So for me it's great, as I don't constantly keep seeing things I need to refurb etc, like on the blue car.

Spent the day at chez riot68 (James) yesterday, to do a few jobs. I was also going to replace my discs and pads at the same time, however a rounded off torx wheel nut kinda rained on my parade :(

It's going to be fun getting this off #-o
Image

Not to worry, it was never about me doing stuff to my car, so the main thing was we got the that bumper replaced :thumleft:

I did take a couple of photos though, before treacherous rain made an appearance ](*,)

She had her first bath in her new home today and just like washing a big hairy dog, we ended up more wet than the car

Weld something to it and twist it out hopeully

Most of them were over-tightened, so I'm surprised there's not more. I'll swap them for regular nuts if I can.

Slowly working through a sea of little jobs, in the few chances I've been getting this past few days. Most uninteresting, so I'll spare you the my ramblings

Tonight's job in hand was finding the best way to mount the PFC Commander. I did toy with the idea of deconstructing it and mounting it on a plate in a single DIN slot. It's slightly too big to fit a single DIN in the way I'd like so another solution had to be found.

After a bit of searching about in my vast collection of bits I stumbled across like
Image

A bit of streamlining and a bend later
Image

A suitable means of attaching it
Image

On
Image

And in place
Image

It's only a test fit, as the ECU isn't in yet and the wiring needs running to the boot. It fits pretty nicely though, with all the other dash gubbins :thumleft:

Next up is finishing off removing the paint from the Cusco brace ends, which seems to be the hardest and most dense substance know to man #-o Not sure what colour to go with them yet. I'm thinking white? :-k
