Glad you got home safe and managed to avoid the rain! Some great pics you got there! Today was the first time I've seen the car moving (as no one was ever allowed to drive her) and it just looks fantastic even at low speeds.

I'm not quite sure about the Matt Hoffman jumps! I was just wasting some time trying not to think about the up coming event! At least all the 6 year olds thought I was awsome!

Tell you what once I get set up ill give you a decent discount on a high end detail if you fancy it?

Take care
Scott

Deal :thumleft: I will keep it clean though you know

I'd:

-lose the spoiler
-Re-fit the pop up lights
-Re-fit non tinted rear lights

Not my car though, so who cares

Happy for ya mate, looking forward to updates :thumleft:

I knew there'd be a little of the Marmite effect.

I saw it for sale and thought someone will be lucky to own this tubby

ONE bad point and it is a very small 1.... Loose that dump valve and get yourself a proper old school hks super sound blow off valve or a proof sheepdog bov (proper jap noise)

The engine's being transplanted for the power build out of the blue car. So it'll be running the stock BOV, as it does the job perfectly and doesn't make the damn noise

and you got the same engine cover as me :thumleft:

Makes the rear view mirror a little redundant eh  Although I guess that's not an issue for you so much.

I'll be in touch with you in the next few weeks, as I'm interested in some of the chassis mods you and Bob are running. I want this car to be fully planted, to avoid a repeat of the past

Those R888's seem to stick pretty well on your videos.

Running Falken 275/35/18 rears and 245/35/18 fronts on the new stead. Which feel much more planted than the old car.

We were gifted with another dry day today (so far), so I thought I'd set about adding some of the trinkets I've amassed from the old car. But before that I couldn't help taking a cheeky side profile shot
Image

Right onto deja vu time...

I'd completely forgotten what it was like when you install the dome LEDs, so as a result the eye blobs are back #-o
Image

Out it all comes, ready for some new bits
Image

Ignition LED going in
Image

Image

In goes the modded heater. I still need to run a feed to power the LEDs.
Image

Time to put the gaiter Rhon made back in, along with the Trust gear knob. I wasn't sure which one to keep but decided the solid feel of the Trust piece was the way to go
Image

I preferred the feel of the old wheel, so back on it went and that concludes the dash work, for now..
Image

Image

Time to install the rear plate LEDs but before I did I found a flaw in the plan
Image

No bother, out with the old and in with the new
Image

Here's one I made earlier
Image

Done
Image

This is probably the cleanest Frunk I've ever seen!
Image

In with the bit of something custom I had made
Image

Image

I noticed one of the headlight bulbs was blown. Luckily the Osrams from the old car survived the crash, so in they went. For some reason the new few steps I forgot to take any photos of #-o
Image

Poll time - Left side or right side? :-k

Still plenty to do. Things like the door cards and loads of other things.

Yeah they stick alright!

Never had the guts to go that wide on the front. Think I'm on 215/45/17
What sort of camber do you run? I think I'm close to -4 deg rear and -2.5 front.

very smart, hope that sun is out next sat so I can have a gander, colour is superb, for me would need pop-up lights and regular mirrors, however the engine cover is immense!...

The 245's rub on full lock, so need to find a solution to that :-k Suggestions welcomed :thumleft:

No idea about the camber etc. I'm not too hot on wheels etc, as my focus has been other aspects.

We've also been cleaning up the brake discs I've had for a while, ready for installation along with the Carbotech pads etc. No photos of this for fear of ridicule (Craig)

be carfull if you fit spacers on the front! or if you do match them with the rear. had huge problems with the handling on the Altezza took several weeks to realise the front track was too wide as it had spacers on the front only. totaly different car after and they were only 5mm each side!

I've got 10mm spacers on the front only (Hubcentric with extended studs) with no issues :-k

There's no spacers on the fronts, just the 245 rims and tyres :-k

So in theory it shouldn't rub?

It will all depend on the setup/combo of tyres' wheels etc......
Which is why I said be careful and not "don't do it"

It depends on the offset it's prob rubbing in the arches rather than the wing
So it will rub less with spacers but give you a wider front track
