Looks like you've got different tyres front and back mate? I'd get them to match up if i was you.

What size are the wheels?

Yeah they are! good spot!

Advan AD08 205 45 16 on the front, 225 45 16 Eagle F1's on the rear. Both premium sticky tires with 7mm tread so will do for now.

Car still sat looking sad awaiting an oil pressure gauge from Pete :-(

In the meantime I've been ordering things again...

Got a replacement sill set for a bargain @ £40 delivered it's the ones on ebay where you get an inner and outer sill for both sides retail at £140. Although mine is rust free. It's bound to happen one day...

Also ordered a modified gauge holder from Alan, on its way over the next week. Love they way it looks factory made without being fast and furious. About to order:

Oil pressure gauge: to be measured from the head
Boost Gauge
Oil Temp Gauge

Hopefully this will help keep an eye on things in the future. I think I'm going to go for these ones as they look most OEM+ all matching in style and look:

Shame it takes weeks for things to come from the USA....

Pressure gauge with a bsp to npt converter that will fit in the area without clashing other components. Pete ordered it all last weds. I'll give him another call.

I'm just at my spending limit now for a potentially xxxxx engine

I'm sure your engine is fine mate, it'll be the sensor, or something in the wiring.

If you get stuck for the kit let me know, got a spare sensor and I can make up whatever adapter you need...just no point if Peter has you covered already.

Thanks a lot Ashley that's really kind. I hope so too.

I have every confidence in Pete's work and if anything is astray I know it'll be fixed...just a shame as it's sat there now doing sfa and the summer is sinking away rapidly.

AFR yes I could do with too..... maybe later on ill get a wide band in.

Next up is a BSP to NPT adaptor!

http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/Product.d ... 0wodBf4GLw

Is this what I need? Pete mentioned that for a gauge i will need a means to ground the sensor like the OEM, would this work?

Its only 2" long so should fit.

Or, i use this and can keep the stock sensor too.... nice!

I know Pete is sending me something but I assume it'll need to go back to him unless I purchase it - just idea colldcting

Stack gauges are here, look great - top suggestion Ash :thumleft:

Alan has also posted out the centre console, and I ordered the oil sensor remote kit. Great thing is you get to keep the OEM sensor and light but also add in aftermarket gauge. Will be here Monday.

Hoping pete's mechanical gauges will turn up Monday (were meant to be here today?) So I can see what's going on.

In the meantime I'll need to work out the best way to daisy chain the sensor wiring in a nice neat manner for the stack gauges.

So the centre console and gauges are here, ready for install.

REALLY happy with how they look and the quality of finish, Alan has done a perfect job. Very OEM+ which is what i like.

Mechanical oil pressure gauge due today (i hope) from Pete so i can actually start the car for first time in 3 weeks..... in the meantime i'll get cracking with the electrical gauge prep.

I've got hold of a spare sump which i'll get pete to weld in a seonsor locator for the oil temp - as I have a rev 2 bottom end i dont want to use the sandwich plate and want to read the oil where it's actually picked up from.

Also picked up a Cusco rear strut bar for a fair price.

Custom made by Alan Bryson (Alan_UK) on here but not as a trader, £130.

You'll have to find him on the MR2 parts for sale page on FB. He does some great work.

He's certainly hard to miss. My FB notifications are just a sea of Alan Bryson.

Dash trim looks good Andy. Not for me personally, as I prefer having the functionality of the center vents.

Would the boost gauge not be better in direct line of sight, as not to take your eyes off the road to read the gauge?

Yeah, it could be, but i personally think it looks a bit fast and furious and a bit tacky..... all IMHO of course. Also its pretty much in peripheral vision

For me its a summer car - i dont need heater vents to warm me up - its either on windscreen to demist or warm my feet 8).

Gauges look good mate, definitely looks cleaner than A-Pillar gauges or on the dash!
