Originall planned to meet with a few friends, bringing a GT86, R32 Skyline, MX5, E36 and a few others. Then realised this was also on so popped in.

Was a Team 440/SlamMedia event at Xscape. Some very cool cars there, some not.

MASSIVE UPDATE!!!!

Changed the headlight bulbs as one had gone. Went for some Bosch Pure Lights, instead of the blue tinted ones already in. Now matches the sidelights.

Also cleaned the surrounds

Unsure what to do with this. Ill be buying a ratty diesel for a daily in the next few months. And I want more power from my 'fun' car. Not sure whether to drop a turbo'd lump in this, or buy something else. Currently looking at R32 GTRs.

I was driving home yesterday and a horrific noise suddenly came up. Short video here: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10 ... 9932316085

After stopping, there was water p1$$ing down the side of the engine from what I'm assuming to be the water pump. Off to the garage later.

What a nightmare!

Take it to a specialist and it won't take as long to do.

Usually would, but any specialists are at least an hour away from me so I can't get it there. As long as it's done by next week I don't mind.

It'll more than likely be going up for sale in the next couple of months, unfortunately.

Well, the water pumps knackered the timing belt. So it's getting a new one. SHould be done by Tuesday, but then: http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/ ... -4/2277908

Yeah, I'll contact you when it goes as I don't want to run it with the Japspeed one.

Update then:
Water pump went last Monday, horrific noise. So I managed to limp it home and sat it down. Took it into the garage Friday and left the new pump with him. Got a phonecall after saying it had eaten the timing belt as well, so I got a new on of them to him too. Picked it up today with everything done.

The old pump had completely collapsed and wouldn't even turn, this led to the belt dragging on it and rubbing against the block which is how it shredded.

Just been out for a 50 mile drive and it's so much better. Water is fine, seems a little better on fuel, revs quicker and starts instantly whereas it seemed to struggle before.

Thanks. Driving it again today really made me want to keep it. But I need decent mpg. If it does go, I have no doubt I'd buy another when having two cars is a possibility.

So I still have this. Off the road for a couple of weeks while I do some bits on it. One of which was to get the engine bay cleaned up. So the intake manifold, induction kit, throttle body etc came off today:

Resulted in the little vacuum doodah breaking. Anyone know what it's called or a part number etc?

Also, is the foam between the cam cover and intake needed?
