Re: Mr2 Turbo Sprint Car (Banshee)
fitted the engine to chassis brace today
thought the rear plate would be better welded on instead of just the 3 bolts
proper hammerite
all done
got on with the coil on plug conversion as well so
on with the sensor bracket
then timing wheel

Very nice- that brace looks the business mate, doesn't look to complicated to make either...now there's a thought

Nice work Steve
It would be good if you to do a write-up on the COP install when you do it. No pressure of course

Re: Mr2 Turbo Sprint Car (Banshee)
new trailer
Finaly managed to find a rev 5 spoiler and boot lid and for a tidy sum of £200
so...
there are a few marks on the lid where its been rubbed down with an air sander but as this is no show car (and may end up in a tree!) i couldnt care less so just painted it.

I'm surprised you didn't opt for something which improves downforce etc? Looking good though
Re: Mr2 Turbo Sprint Car (Banshee)
I'm bound by the rules. The silhouette must remain the same as a factory mr2 in my class.
Still I'm sure the rev5 adjusted to full angle will be better than rev2.
On the next car i/we build will be in the libra class then I can go nuts with aero!

I see the WE in there.
First there is the BMW to get going, and my race car, then my Black MR2 the White T bar MR2 oh and the 2000 HP Chevy.
Then we will have the room to do the 1500 HP MR2

I wish you were my dad Bob. I'd have been much happier covered in oil and surrounded by engine parts, than being forced to watch soccer ball and other such dull activities

When Steve was born for the first year he was called Turbo, not that he would remember, but his mum got fed up with that in the end

Haha, it's a good job you didn't specialise in toilets back in the day...
