Re: Christmas LM Party in Derby
LATEST UPDATE
Here's the list of the 19 people who have paid their £10 deposits and therefore, I have confirmed their place at the party with the hotel:
Peter Hartley and Reema Tawfiq
Tony Froude and Mystery Guest!!
Michael and Joanne Sheavills
Dan Morgan and Jo
Frogge and Celina
Pete Kyte and Niki Mestre
Carl and Bev Windsor
Steve Kingsnorth
Wayne Duncan
John Griffith
Max Starr
Sasha Starr
They are sending me a party pack by post which will have pre-order forms and details on when the final balance for the party is due etc. I will be in contact about all that in due course.
I have grouped people into the following in terms of rooms required and have given this list to the hotel:
Peter Hartley and Reema Tawfiq (Double - Friday and Saturday)
Tony Froude and Mystery Guest!! (Double - Friday and Saturday)
Michael and Joanne Sheavills (Double - Friday and Saturday)
Dan Morgan and Jo (Double - Friday and Saturday)
Frogge and Celina (Double - Friday and Saturday)
Pete Kyte and Niki Mestre (Double - Saturday)
Carl and Bev Windsor (Double - Saturday)
Steve Kingsnorth and Wayne Duncan (Twin - Friday and Saturday)
John Griffith (Single - Saturday)
Max and Sasha Starr (Twin - Saturday)
Now here is the important bit!! ...
I need each of you to call Sarah Baughan at the Mickleover Court Hotel in Derby on 01332 521234. I need you to quote my name as the booking reference (that's 'Reema' to those of you who don't know by now!!) and give your name and room requirements as per the list above. They need to take down a debit/credit card number to secure each room booking; the balance is actually pay on arrival, as per most hotels.
If Ive missed anything, just shout at me and I'll try and get on it straight away, bearing in mind myself and Pete aren't around from 22nd-30th September inclusive. Everything is

Re: Christmas LM Party in Derby
I'm up for dressing smart! Not neccesarily got a tux... but i can put a suit on.
Just been looking at the hotel website. The hotel offers a valet service. Plus it has a sports bar! So whilst Reema is in the solarium, I can have me car valet'd whilst I sit in the sports bar drinking pimms and lemonade.
I may even splash out and have a cucumber sandwich on the verander!
I agree... I work just down the road from matlock in Belper so know the area well. It's beautiful countryside and loads of hills! Matlock is like a little touristy sea side town, only not near the sea.

Sunday, after breakfast I thought we could have a run out somewhere like Matlock, it's beautiful there this time of year, any suggestions welcome.

Re: Christmas LM Party in Derby
Whilst I'm in the solarium with Reema, I was thinking about getting Joanne valleted
It really is a cracking hotel, 2 bars including the one Pete was talking about, Pete as you know the area would you be happy to organise the route, maps, ect for the run say leaving @ 11am. Theres a nice pub on the corner in Matlock we all can have lunch before going our seperate ways.

Re: Christmas LM Party in Derby
On Thursday 18th September
4 rooms left for the Friday night
5 rooms left for the Saturday night
Get your names and £10's to Reema, ideally before she goes on holiday.

Ah ye of little faith, it'll be fixed by then. And then he'll blow it up again by installing the worlds biggest SC pulley!

I don't think they can make it, mentioned it to Mark t'other week and he said he was having difficulty in finding the time off work.
*EDIT* Think you meant Mark & Chris the couple but it could have been Mark and Chris as in two blokes, but I've not spoken Chris Roy recently so I don't know about him.

Ah ha, speak of the devil and he shall appear...
Apologies for being a bit behind on this one, but if there is still a room (or a share of a twin room) going then i'll be up for this. I'll be seeing Mark at the weekend so I'll confirm what his status is..

Re: Christmas LM Party in Derby
About time dude was starting to think you had abandoned the LM crowd, glad to have you coming. You need to send £11 Paypal to Pete ASAP to secure your Christmas party meal, do that today if you can mate.
Now are you coming Friday and Saturday, hope so, I'm sure John is coming alone, you could probably change his room to a twin and share the costs, John this will save you money as it will now only be £45 per night each
If you guys can sort this out between yourselves and let Reem's know.
Nice one, cheers

Hello Stranger!!
There's a possibility we can get you into a twin room with John Griffith on the Saturday night. If you wanted to come along Friday night too, you'd need to get a single room just for that night. If you can let me know your requirements for the room and paypal your £10 Christmas Party deposit to [email protected] before Monday, 22nd September then I'll try and sort it out before I go on holibobs
