I love Peter, he's an amazing chap and amazing if you can actually get hold of him but he really needs to address the above.

I've been trying to get a part of my boost controller replaced for over 6 months now, getting tired of not having boost control.

all paperwork correct & the V&D has already been paid.

they're not always looking for super weapons as such; they do random checks to make sure what you say you have is whats in there and nothing else.... cant get any answer from customs; they just dont pick up ](*,)

Becasue if its a bomb then x-ray may be safer then risking tripping it.

Why are you so sure this is a conspiracy? lol

Even after everything everyone has said, including the people that have spoken to Peter since this thread has been started. :clown:

who said i thought it was a conspiracy, [-X
nothings further from the truth,(unless you're in on it  )
but,
there are enough people complaining about waiting an inordinate amount of time for parts,to warrant an answer from peter, dont you think?

secondly,its not just this shipment,
if you re-read the thread there are people waiting for loose ends to be tied up from months ago.

tbh i couldnt give a monkeys one way or the other as i havent dealt with s-bits,but,to coin your phrase ,after all has been said here,(and were really talking platitudes not real meat on the bones definative when do i get my bits answers)no one is any the wiser as to delivery dates.

am i dissuaded from buying the custom drop links i need this week,
yes,
why,
because im not convinced that if i order them they will be despatched and delivered on time.
ive no doubt peters a great guy,but thats not really the issue,is it?

lol, easy tiger. You do seem to be going to a lot of trouble to try and suggest there is some reason customs wouldn't have held on to the shipment, or that it is an unreasonable excuse.

Just think it's a bit unfair, if that is your intention, given you've never dealt with sbits before and are not involved in this downpipe buy so have nothing to lose.

If that's not your intention, I'm a little confused as to what is... Feel free to set me straight, but you do seem to be just jumping on the bandwagon. Of course there's no reason you shouldn't pay attention to the thread if you're thinking of buying from sbits, but that doesn't explain your comments.

Just a random selection of quotes lol...

planted1 wrote:bottom line is,if the export/import paperwork is in order, then customs have no need to "investigate" downpipe shipments ,
downpipes ffs,not parts for a gerard bull superweapon.

planted1 wrote:what exactly is the problem with customs?
customs dont just hold onto things.

i ask because a great deal of parts ive bought have been from the usa
(uk suppliers couldnt match on price or availability unfortunately)
and ive not had a problem so far.

lets not get all defensive about a genuine criticism on customer contact and delivery,by someone(not the only one) frustrated by the situation,
its not about fuelling the fire, the guy has a genuine beef, and i,as a potential customer ,would like to see how it pans out thats all.

iblis,
steady soldier,
no explanation needed,however,
several people complained,
i personally have had no problem with customs, despite multiple purchases, and i dont do it to earn a living, what i am directly suggesting is
it is not difficult to do,
that from experience.

i have dealt with a couple of well knowns here (mr2 parts suppliers),one was ok ,the other returned my money after eight weeks for an item he said he had in stock before i paid,so yes , i do understand the frustration of others.

i thought about purchasing, because the product looked great,
ive had second thoughts, due to comments by some of those waiting, whats so wrong in that?

7k ive spent in 12months on my car and another 5 or 6 to go in the next six months, after that, who knows.
sadly much(not all) of that has been spent in the usa due to price, availability, choice of product and customer lliasion.

there is another thread at the moment which probably pertains directly to this one, something about trolls on bandwagons who shouldnt comment as they have no direct experience of dealing in this particular matter,
fine, ill spend my money elsewhere, and you will continue to get the service you allready have.

OK, guys time to respond.

Firstly, i admit totally that i need to improve my communication skills with regards to the telephone. No excuses, no ifs, no buts, quite simply my fault.

Mitigating circumstances.

I always answer the phone where the job i am doing in the workshop is not jepodised. A missing nut or bolt could have grave consequences, so workshop standards have to come first.

We did a little test not long ago. Answered every single call one Friday afternoon. 27 calls taken, all help and advice given, questions answered. Workshop progress equalled NIL.

So, life is full of compromises, and in this case, i need to alter the balance.

I will always offer my time FOC to those seeking help or info. I will always get through my workshop jobs.

As from Monday, workshop duties will commence at 10AM. All calls received before 10AM will be answered or call backs made.

I'll endeovour to make call backs at lunchtime, and at 5.30PMish.

In betewwn these times, i will still anser when possible, however if not, please leave a message. And your number if dialling from a workplace!

Some have said i am a victim of my own success, however this should not detract from contiuing to offer the best service i can. Although, i'm sure that all would agree that workshop safety and standards have to come first.

If anyone has any outstanding queries, please PM me, and you'll receive a response by the end of the evening of that day.

Many thanks to those who have made positive comments. To those that have valid negative comments like i said, please PM me and i will deal with ASAP.
