When do you need payment?

As much as I'd like you to pay me to attend it's Bookatrack you need to settle up with :)

You can pay as late as you like but you risk the places going, ideally I think they prefer the balance 7 days before the event but Lauren can probably confirm if they are flexible on this, I've known people pay on the day in the past.

Actually we would prefer the balance a month before the event because i know we are on a months terms with the bank.

Basically if you haven't fully paid up your place isn't secure, so if someone else pays up they will always take priority.

If there are still spaces available then you may be able to pay on the day but this is definately not encouraged and you run the risk of losing your place should the day be full. It looks pretty quiet at the moment though.

My advice would be to bag your place as then its sorted and you have no worries. If your car should blow up go Pete Tong in the meantime you can always carry your 'BaT credit' over to another event as long as you let Jonny or Sarah know about it.

I will definitely be going but not competing unfortunately as my N/A is just not up to the challenge :( & would like to drive home afterwards!

I would however love to have a ride round as a passenger in a turbo if anyone would be kind enough  , as I would love to see the difference between a turbo & my N/A.

Thanks Si

It's not a race, it's an opportunity to play with your car in a safe environment to explore the limits and improve your driving - well worth it and it's highly unlikely you'd be unable to drive home, the only factor that could change that is tyre wear.

Anyway spectating is one way to get hooked and passenger laps are great fun - see you there!

I just didn't want to be shown up by the big turbo boys thats all!!
But at the moment my rear shocks are on their last legs so best not risk it will certainly look forward to a passenger ride though & no doubt that will encourage me to get my car sorted for the next one. :D

Its a trackday not a race, so it is totally irrelevant how quickly or not anyone else is going round.

Also trackdays are pretty much always 80% driver 20% so it doesn't matter if you have a turbo or NA. I've driven past Mac F1s before in an MR2 and a Caterham so it really doesn't matter.

A trackday is non-competitive by definition for a number of reasons:

It is a condition of the insurance that no racing is allowed

No timing is allowed either again due to insurance.

The range of driver ability is diverse.

Its all about having a good time and there are no prizes for lapping quicker than anyone else!

just like shows there is a good social scene going on around trackdays.

I don't see many familiar names on the list and there are only a few places left :(

Are we making a day of this or not bothering now?

My long awaited turbocharger hasn't shown up yet ! I can still use the one on the car, but its a bit of a smoker .. only on idling though ..... the exhaust is still hanging off, was going to leave it altogether.. do it all at once.... gimme a week and I'll see how my exhaust ( important ) fairs and I'll make a decision.... I should be there at least to view... but thats boring !
