So yesterday I visited Simon at YVS. What a top bloke! Had a look at some of the cars he's currently got in and chat about engines. Car is going to him on Thursday.

Next issue is my rad fan. Discovered it wasn't working when my radiator gave up (assuming down to increased pressure), unplugged it and it was on constantly. So I've had it like that for a little bit, got a new rad fan sensor and just fitted it. Still on all the time, even when connected. Fuse is fine too. Ideas?

Could the fan issue be realted to buying the wrong temp sensor? I believe they are different for air con cars and non air con. Or relay maybe?
Also good luck with the de-cat, if you like the vtec scream you will like this exhaust!

After reading I think it's down to it being from a turbo model. Assumed they would be the same but obviously not.

Can't wait for it to be put on!

Haha! It's a tad out of the way isn't it..

Are you staying with the car until it's finished?

I've ended up in York, only a 20 minute train. Will head back when he calls.

Just got back.

Turns out that the belt and the idler bearing was done about 20000 miles ago, don't know why they did half a job but it's all done now.

Decat is on, no change while moderate driving, but loud when you put your foot down.

Oil and filter done too.

Simon also informed me that the water pump may be going, and the drivers sill could do with attention. So they'll get sorted soon.

Will do soon. Only have a camera phone so nothing great from that. But I've got a meet organised with some friends next week so I'll get some then.
