Feel like you've made it worse? :(

Can you remove the cover without having to replace anything? Been looking at polishing mine, however if there's bits you have to replace I was going to tie it in with some other jobs in there.

Made it worse yup....only way forward is hours of sanding and polishing.
as for replacing things...essentially no but in reality the gasket may as well be changed and little rubber washers on the bolts look pretty one use only type things,im not replacing anything personally but its all getting done in a few weeks anyways...

Go on, what happened? Did it involve a drill with some sort of attachment?

Done it myself in the past. :(

Here's a great thread on how to get that polished look http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/kb.php?mode=article&k=113

Takes a loooooong time to do though! I'm putting off doing it, as I've spent far too long doing that kind of thing in the past.

Car looks awesome, a massive improvement from the car you bought. I really like the sticker up the window too, I know I shouldn't but it just looks cool! :eye:

thanks for all the comments :D
been busy (read peter at sbits) has been busy!

got the car to i believe a great standard considering.
few bits left to do to perfect i.e the body work needs touching up etc
but it gets me to work everyday, sometimes quite swiftly and thanks to pete i dont need one eye glued to warning gauges and an ear trained on every noise or funny smell.

few more little bits going on this week but then its time to enjoy for the summer.who knows what winter will bring

as for the seats i cant tell you much about them really other than they are fk motor sports? got them second hand from an astra van in a local car club, great seats but took pete a few coffees to fit them, not exactly plug and play!

anyway il update with a few pics when i get chance

cheers :thumleft:
