User Tyrant removed from IMOC

Bit of a thread revival -

Tyrant is clearly an absolute scam merchant, however I have a question.

His account scole on eBay has a 'genuine' TOM's high level spoiler for sale. What I want to know, is, if I paid for the spoiler through eBay and it never arrived, would it be he or I who lost out? Would PayPal/eBay reimburse?

I know it's a huge risk and I am not planning to do it without full assuredness that PayPal and eBay support buyers in these situations.

Basically, I've been looking for a TOM's or a GReddy spoiler for ages and this is the only one around

if you used paypal (do not send as 'gift') then you'd be fully covered, I agree he's an utter xxxx but he does have SOME good feedback, some folk on here say he's no problem to deal with at all.

if folks keep buying from him then every so often he'll rip someone off again. Best (legal) way to deal with these folks, don't buy from them and never encourage anyone else to do so. Trash like that deserves to become organ donors

i purchased a front lip/airsplitter from his scolexxx account.

he agreed to a price if only sent as a gift(it was a good price too). i went ahead and added 4% to the price and sent the payment as goods, with a detailed description on comments.

he never posted it.. i guess he thought i sent it as a gift since i compensated for it by adding it as "goods".

i tried to contact him but he would never respond. on the 37th day i filed a paypal claim.

he finally responded with information and posted the lip. i did receive it.. it wasn't in the condition as promised but i was already past the 45 day mark.

i saw the toms spoiler when he had it at 225 quid, then slowly descending to 80 quid. because of my prior experience with him, i decided not to take the chance.. it took much discipline though... a "genuine" toms rear spoiler is a bargain.

i don't know what to think of him... if he's a good or bad guy. all i can post is my experience..

I'm not sure laugh is the term I'd use when someone admits they aided a known scammer.

Anyway, here's another facebook. He's trying to peddle parts on the facebook groups.

Say what you will. In my direct experience of trading with him, I've paid £20 for two rear light wiring looms and this spoiler. Both of them have arrived without trouble.

Too many people on this forum brand people based on reading stuff rather than experiencing it. If I were to describe Tyrant, based purely on my own direct & embodied experiences, I could only say he's been as good a seller as I have been.

I am not suggesting that everyone should have to risk being scammed by ignoring public view, but I don't like the way we just absorb the dominant opinion and recount it, thereby falsely propagating it to some degree at least.

As far as I am concerned I did not aid a scammer, I risked buying something over the internet and it came out just fine.
