Got another email about cheap ferries, this time from SeaFrance:

The Travel Market Ltd. has teamed up with to bring you an amazing exculsive offer for the coming year only available to our newsletter subscribers. A limited allocation has been given to us on all sailings, including the summer months and weekends.

For only £66 you can take a car and up to 5 passenger for a PERIOD RETURN*, (Yes that's any length of stay!), to France on the Dover - Calais route.

All sailings on all dates are currently available. Valid for travel until the 20th November 2011 - you must book before 18th March 2011.

or go to www.ferrycheap.com/seafrance

Seafrance's timings are slightly different to P&O so you could leave at 08:00 instead of 08:10 and come back at 17:30 for a slightly more leisurely trip back (maybe stop in Rouen for lunch or something) to take advantage of this offer.

Le Mans 2011

Post by b4ss »

Hi,
I will be there too, heading for my first time also staying at Chanteloup.
Myself and a friend are driving from Ireland, we are currently deciding on M5 or MR2...

Where you're staying doesn't matter, you always want white car park! It will probably be sold out by now though (sometimes Dominique buys up a few white tickets to sell off at the chateau).

So red as a second best option?

Red's fine, you just have more of a walk to the circuit.

Try Dominique at the chateau. Oh yeah, if you've already booked remember to say that you wanna be with the Toyota club, that way we'll all be in the usual place.

I'm going with a friend in his hairdressers car (boxster) for the first time this year.

Would be great to meet up with a few from here so if people are happy then pm me a number and I'll ring you when I get there (will send you my number back).

Relatively small numbers this year, think we're talking about 10 people :o Come on people! Here's some photos to whet your appetites.

Epic car show at San Saturin on the Friday, before Mad Friday on the Mulsanne Straight (which was a bit **** this year). Entry to the car show was quite funny - everyone was getting waved on unless they were in some kind of exotic sports car, and they let us all in except the Lupo and the Focus!! I was the only MR2 MK2 there, more exclusive than the Noble or the TVR! Saw some cool cars, the new Noble M600 was there, as well as a Diablo, some original Mustangs and an R5 GT Turbo 2. There were 2 or 3 Ford GT replicas, a handful of Marcos' and about 60 or so Corvettes.

I had lots of fun confusing the French wandering around - I have a button on my alarm fob that pops my headlights up and flashes them. It was hysterical watching people physically jump backwards as the headlight popped up in their faces
