I don't know everyone on here. And I didn't recognized the car on the 1st page.

But after going to your garage it was like...

Ahhh damn, I know that car !
It's the one with the awesome 3sfe bumper and perfect color to go with !
(saw it way back in an earlier thread)

This is a real shame mate :(
I hope you can either get your car back, or get decent money for it.

Thanks buddy. Still heartbreaking to her see outside but i'll have a clearer picture of exactly whats happening by tomorrow. The assessor's coming round (at last) to value her. Once we agree, I should be able to plan whether to break her, fix her, or leave MR2s for now. (already looking at RX7s as the backup, despite their HORRIFYING fuel consumption  )

I've been posting recently how I hate to see so many great cars in the community being broken for maximum financial return, so I'll be wanting to avoid that option unless the proverbial gun is held to my head.

regards,

Bobby

Nice one, that's good news. I had a similar problem when I got driven into on the M1, my car started off as a write off and then they slowly realised how much it was worth. I ended up with a cash-in-lieu settlement which meant I could source all the parts myself and get the work done at a bodyshop of my choosing, as well as getting a load of other work done at the same time :thumleft:

Thats EXACTLY what has happened. Best thing is, despite people continuous jibing at insurance companies, after a little evidence from myself, they completely agreed on my valuation of the car to the penny!!!

The assessor said that his insurance company now regards these cars as "future classics" and sees them as what they call "desired cars" so try to keep them on the road as much as possible.

For those who want an insurance company they can count on when the going gets tough, My brokers are Swinton Specialist with the actual insurers being Groupama.

Amen.

Thats a really good bit of info. What are you paying for your insurance with Swinton?

My renewals up in April, will get a quote off em.
